Job Summary:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Sous Chef in kitchen operations, leading employees, and ensuring seamless operations in the Sous Chef's absence.
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques to maintain Wegmans' high culinary standards and provide unique meal options to customers.
• Share your culinary knowledge and passion with both customers and employees, suggesting meal ideas and incorporating products from various departments.
• Manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback, and development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 or more years of experience as a prep or line cook.
• Experience in leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality assurance practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts.
• Experience in multi-faceted food service facilities like restaurants, hotels, country clubs, etc.
