Job Summary of Business Analyst:

This position plays a key role in supporting Outside Plant Damage Prevention operations by analyzing data from 811 centers, locates, and related services. Responsibilities include evaluating business processes, proposing solutions, and collaborating with third-party coordinators to ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives. This role combines analytical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to improve operational efficiency and planning.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Business Analyst:

• Analyze and interpret data related to damage prevention and locate operations, providing actionable insights to support strategic goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align individual business functions with organizational priorities.
• Generate reports, visualizations, and presentations to support data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and maintain accurate project estimates, including resource and cost requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements through technology or revised practices.
• Provide recommendations for operational enhancements based on internal analysis and market trends.
• Assist in aligning damage prevention activities with business objectives through structured reporting and continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Qualifications and Experience of Business Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis or a related function.
• Strong data interpretation and analytical skills with the ability to identify business opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience handling multiple projects with a strong ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Preferred: Experience with CAD platforms such as AutoCAD and GIS platforms such as ArcGIS.

Salary:

Base pay ranges from $67,100 to $107,300 annually, based on experience, qualifications.
