Job Summary of Sales Representative:
Join Sysco’s World Class Sales Team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in promoting the Sysco’s products and services, building strong relationships with new and existing accounts, and achieving sales and profit goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Sales Representative:
- Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within assigned territory.
- Seek and qualify prospects following Sysco account stratification goals.
- Research customer business needs and recommend products and services to meet those needs.
- Stay informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales.
- Provide product information and training to customer personnel.
- Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and Sysco meetings.
- Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary.
- Manage deliveries and troubleshoot any problems during the order process.
- Participate in Sysco functions, promotions, and customer events.
- Attend general sales and district meetings.
- Engage in ongoing training sessions.
- Assist with the training of new employees.
- Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining records, and filing reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience of Sales Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline OR High School Diploma / GED and 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience.
- Bi-Lingual; experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; current automobile insurance.
- Must submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check) and sign Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement. Must reside or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the territory.
- Basic PC skills, proficiency with MS Office, ability to read, write, and speak English.
