Job Summary of Inventory Driver:

Drive a company vehicle to handle the transportation of local orders and equipment, emphasizing the need for streamlined route management. Deliver assistance in warehouse responsibilities as requested and supervise inventory processes at customer sites.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Inventory Driver:

• Perform tasks involving the operation of a company vehicle for local deliveries and pickups.
• Design an optimized system for arranging delivery routes to increase overall efficiency.
• Direct the management of inventory by vendors at customer premises.
• Sequence items appropriately to facilitate their loading onto the delivery vehicle.
• Fulfill delivery tasks by unloading products at customer locations and procuring signatures for confirmation.
• Determine the articles designated for retrieval, verification, and delivery from sales requests.
• Prevent damage during transportation by securely sealing packages.
• Help in the organization of warehouse inventory by restocking shelves as needed.
• Perform any further obligations as directed.

Qualifications and Experience of Inventory Driver:

• Having either a high school diploma or GED is a basic eligibility criterion.
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips and dispatch directives with precision.
• Elementary level math proficiency, reading comprehension aptitude, and computer operation skills.
• Expertise in documenting customer information acquired during delivery operations.
• Capacity to transport weights up to 100 lbs and lift loads up to 50 lbs.
• A valid driver?? license and an aual verification of driving history.
• Obligatory road test as a condition of employment.
• Achieving the mandatory internal training and certification milestones.
• A medical card or DOT physical certification serves as official confirmation for commercial drivers that they have undergone and passed a medical examination as per DOT regulations.
• Certain clients may require safety certifications to be in place.
