Accounting Associate
Job Summary of Accounting Associate:
The main task of this role is to manage lease-related payment procedures to support the accounting team effectively. This includes tasks such as processing invoices, conducting reconciliations, and generating rent computations, as well as offering customer support to internal and external stakeholders. A key focus is on ensuring the correctness and promptness of payments to landlords while also aiding in broader month-end closure and reconciliation undertakings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Accounting Associate:
- Ensure timely payments by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices from landlords.
- Handle the entry and organization of payments for utility and other vendor bills.
- Handle queries from property owners, vendors, and company divisions with precise and timely details.
- Provide assistance to the Lease Accountant during audits concerning leases and work to rectify any discrepancies identified.
- Aid in finalizing month-end procedures, which involve posting journal entries, data imports, and analyzing the income statement.
- Review the monthly landlord statements and transactions for correctness in account information.
- Carry out balance sheet account reconciliations pertaining to leases.
- Generate and present monthly percentage rent assessments following the guidelines outlined in the lease terms.
Qualifications and Experience of Accounting Associate:
- Completion of a bachelor's program or similar accounting education is necessary.
- Experience of at least one to two years in a related field, such as retail or hospitality, is preferred.
- Meeting the annual store training requirement post-hiring.
- Within 30 days of being hired, an individual must secure a valid Food Handler’s Card.

Salary:
