Job Description of Financial Analyst:

DISH, which belongs to EchoStar, is on the lookout for a skilled individual to aid our finance department’s activities. This post will encompass tasks related to accounting, financial reporting, and overseeing systems. The chosen individual will be crucial in supporting our accounting processes, participating in closing activities on a monthly and yearly basis, and safeguarding the precision of financial details. Collaborating with various teams, supervising system configurations, and providing end-user assistance for financial platforms such as OneStream, Hyperion, and Oracle will be key aspects of this role.

Roles and Responsibilities of Financial Analyst:

• Be involved in the monthly closing operations by preparing journal entries, reconciling records, and performing in-depth analysis of accounts.
• Help with validating the authenticity of financial records like Executive Books, 10-K submissions, and 10-Q disclosures.
• Timely and accurate completion of all end-of-month closing tasks is crucial.
• Create a structured approach to handle and automate the various components featured in the monthly Exec Book.
• Deliver end-user assistance for OneStream, handling technical issues and offering guidance through training modules.
• Promote consistency in how information is reported and systems are operated across all business units.
• Construct and sustain different financial records including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Sales Analysis Compilation.
• Develop additional reports as needed by the accounting and finance divisions.
• Support end-users in utilizing Oracle R12 and configuring the financial reporting system effectively.
• Validate the integrity of data by checking the alignment of balances between OneStream and Oracle databases.
• Devise and carry out broad allocation schemes.
• Play a participative role in Internal Reporting Team ventures to oversee the coordination of timelines and duties.
• Handle elaborate projects throughout the entire process.
• Expertise in multiple financial platforms and operations.
• Nurture strong working partnerships with accounting and other departments’ teams.

Qualifications and Experience of Financial Analyst:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or an associated area of study is a prerequisite.
• Possessing three-plus years of accounting expertise, engaged in month-end and year-end finalization tasks, alongside creating financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and adherence to GAAP guidelines.
• Proficiency in utilizing various Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Access, is a must.
• A solid grasp of Hyperion Financial Reporting, Smart View, and Oracle Financial Systems is necessary.
• Proficiency in assessing and advising on enhancements for processes and procedures.
• Opeess to learning new principles and partnering with team members to seek answers.

Salary:

Yearly compensation: $63,150 - $90,000
