Job Summary of Associate Accountant:

This position supports the accounting team by managing lease related payment processes. Responsibilities include processing and reconciling invoices, preparing rent calculations, and providing customer service to internal teams and external partners. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of payments to landlords while supporting broader month-end close and reconciliation activities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Associate Accountant:

• Process, verify, and reconcile landlord invoices to ensure timely payments.
• Enter and prepare payment of utility and miscellaneous vendor invoices.
• Respond to inquiries from landlords, vendors, and internal departments with accurate and timely information.
• Support the Lease Accountant during lease-related audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, uploads, and P&L review.
• Verify monthly landlord statements and transactions for account accuracy.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations related to leases.
• Prepare and report monthly percentage rent calculations in accordance with lease terms.

Qualifications and Experience of Associate Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with accounting coursework required.
• One to two years of related experience, ideally in a retail or hospitality setting.
• Successful completion of annual store training, if hired.
• Valid Food Handler’s Card must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Salary:

• $28–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
