Job Summary of CDL A Route Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Route Driver:
- Safely navigate a tractor-trailer to bring goods to client destinations.
- Carry out the manual unloading and delivery of various goods, from meats and produce to frozen items, groceries, and dry products.
- Build and sustain positive customer relationships through friendly interactions.
- Get acquainted with client workings to meet their needs and fulfill their expectations.
- Follow the prescribed route schedules diligently and ensure on-time deliveries as required.
- Uphold a clear driving history and conform to all traffic laws and statutes.
- Undertake pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Route Driver:
- This opportunity is only available to those who are 21 years of age and above.
- Adhere to the guidelines of a pre-employment background check as well as drug screening.
- Hold a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) that is valid alongside a driving record that is free from blemishes.
- Ability to effectively convey messages in English.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Acceptance of the need to work overtime and weekends, including holidays, as needed.
- 12 months of practical experience in customer delivery.
- Skillful in the use of hand carts and hand trucks for the past six months.
- Half a year’s worth of experience in Food and Beverage services.
- Documenting a consecutive two-year work record.
