Job Summary of Seasonal Driver:

Operates gas-powered yard trucks or electric industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices to transport products, materials, and equipment throughout the facility. Responsible for order handling, equipment safety, and inventory processing to support efficient warehouse operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Seasonal Driver:

• Transport loaded pallets, skids, or materials to assigned areas using lifting equipment.
• Unload and stack items by raising and lowering forklift or other lifting devices.
• Pull and scan merchandise orders using RF technology.
• Store products in correct locations as verified by RF scanners.
• Operate all equipment safely, following The Children’s Place and Cal OSHA standards.
• Perform pre- and post-use equipment inspections to ensure machine functionality.
• Report machine issues to the Maintenance Supervisor immediately.
• Move trailers to designated dock areas as directed.

Qualifications and Experience of Seasonal Driver:

• Minimum of 3–6 months of relevant experience and/or training required.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and write basic correspondence.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Proficiency in operating powered industrial trucks and related warehouse equipment.
• Ability to lift/move 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Physical agility to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and reach frequently.
• Must be certified by The Children’s Place through written and hands-on equipment exams (minimum 70% score required).
• Basic PC skills are required.
