Job Summary of Accounts Payable Specialist:

This role aids the accounting department in overseeing the payment procedures associated with leases. Duties consist of handling and verifying invoices, creating rent calculations, and offering assistance to both internal departments and outside collaborators. The primary objective of this position is to guarantee that payments to landlords are precise and punctual, all the while assisting in general month-end closing and reconciliation tasks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Verify and reconcile invoices from landlords to guarantee prompt payments are processed accurately.
• Process and arrange payment for utility and various supplier bills.
• Address requests from landlords, suppliers, and in-house units by providing precise and prompt responses.
• Aid the Lease Accountant in conducting audits related to leases and address any inconsistencies found.
• Support with the completion of month-end activities, such as recording journal entries, data uploads, and reviewing the profit and loss statement.
• Authenticate the monthly landlord statements and transactions to ensure their precision regarding the account details.
• Conduct reconciliations for lease-related balance sheet accounts.
• Compile and document monthly percentage rent computations as specified in the lease agreement.

Qualifications and Experience of Accounts Payable Specialist:

• A bachelor's degree or relevant accounting coursework is mandatory.
• One to two years of relevant experience, preferably within the retail or hospitality industry.
• Fulfilling the required yearly store training upon employment.
• An active Food Handler’s Card is required to be acquired within the first month of starting a new job.

Salary:
