Job Summary of Lead Cashier:

This position is focused on creating exceptional guest experiences at the cashwrap through efficient transactions, excellent service, and peer support. It involves leading by example in guest engagement, loyalty programs, and sales, while helping to maintain high standards of store operations. The role contributes to performance metrics, fosters a positive team environment, and supports operational excellence through adherence to company policies and training initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Lead Cashier:

• Provide personalized service by greeting and engaging guests, promoting products, and assisting with services and demonstrations.
• Ensure prompt and courteous handling of transactions, including sales, refunds, and exchanges.
• Support loyalty initiatives by promoting credit and app enrollment, and contributing to store sales and shrink goals.
• Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates in register operations.
• Perform register open/close functions, exit inspections, and cashier chat-ins/outs as directed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and merchandise readiness of the cashwrap and surrounding areas.
• Follow all operational and loss prevention procedures, ensuring safety and inventory control.
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with trends and product knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience of Lead Cashier:

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in retail cashiering, sales, and training.
• Proficiency with basic technology, including POS systems and mobile devices.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and influence peers while supporting team objectives.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Salary:

$15.50 – $20.00 per hour.
