Maintenance Utility Worker
Job Summary of Maintenance Utility Worker:
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our delivery fleet by performing routine maintenance tasks. Your responsibilities will include checking oil, fluids, tire pressure, and fueling all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Maintenance Utility Worker:
- Perform daily fueling of all delivery equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Conduct routine checks on fluid levels of power equipment to maintain proper functioning.
- Assist the fleet shop as needed and collaborate with night warehouse management to prepare equipment for daily use.
- Adhere to the FSQA schedule by washing trailers regularly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Keep the parking lot clean and free of debris to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard for efficient operations.
Qualifications and Experience of Maintenance Utility Worker:
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 months related experience and / or training in a maintenance or operations role.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively communicate with team members.
- Basic mathematical skills for performing routine calculations.
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to operate equipment safely and follow safety protocols.
