Job Summary of Distribution Associate:

This position entails the skillful transfer, manipulation, and placement of materials within the Distribution Center using Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and warehouse management systems. The job is essential for ensuring the timely conveyance of materials, aiding in precise inventory oversight, and sustaining adherence to safety and quality standards. This role demands a sharp focus on detail, proficiency in equipment operation, and the capacity to function effectively in a physically active atmosphere.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Distribution Associate:

• Leverage the capabilities of the Red Prairie Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners to oversee inventory tracking and streamline material handling processes.
• Handle PIT equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, and electric jacks safely post receiving certification.
• Use Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs) and manual lifting techniques for trailer loading and unloading activities.
• Prepare and position materials for assembly lines, confirming their precision.
• Processing shipping documentation includes the tasks of registering weights, charges, and Bills of Lading.
• Confirm that the weights and quantities of items being shipped out are accurate.
• Keep stock levels in check and distribute materials accordingly to meet production necessities.
• Inform the relevant personnel about any discrepancies found in the inventory.
• Make use of ERP platforms to handle inventory transactions and maintain detailed documentation.
• Utilize the capabilities of the Yield Calculation Program to manage waste and repurpose materials.
• Strive to uphold cleanliness and abide by protocols for hygiene and safety measures.
• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to cGMP standards.
• Undertake different material handling functions to meet operational needs.
• Carry out additional duties as designated.

Qualifications and Experience of Distribution Associate:

• A high school diploma or an equal qualification is necessary.
• It is preferred that applicants have a background of at least three months in material handling or warehouse operations.
• Understanding of how to use both hand and power tools as well as the basic operation of a forklift.
• Attaining PIT certification eligibility and finishing internal training sessions.
• Demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to completing tasks promptly and accurately.
• Able to handle tasks independently or engage in teamwork within a fast-paced context.
• Capability in elementary mathematics such as working out proportions, comparisons, and portions.
• Skill in processing and comprehending work manuals and official reports.
• Availability to work overtime when it is called for.
